About G Dental Hygiene
About G Dental Hygiene
We have expanded our hygiene services with a new clinic located in Stony Plain, Alberta. Gwen Andrews, an independent hygiene practitioner, is the proud owner of G Dental Hygiene.
Gwen is about bringing accessible dental hygiene services to Stony Plain and beyond. By offering in-clinic and mobile dental hygiene services in a variety of community settings, Gwen is able to reach a wide range of people who can have access to their oral health care.
Gwen’s dreams of making a difference were born of a change to Alberta’s regulations surrounding dental services in 2006. It was at this time that the provincial regulatory body had set forth changes to the Health Professions Act, allowing dental hygienists to operate independently, beyond the scope of a dentist’s supervision. The College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta ensures the public receives safe and effective oral health care through governance, requirements of professional standards, inspection and regulation of infection control.
While providing the public an opportunity to choose alternative hygiene services, we encourage our clients to see their dentists for regular check ups.
We are passionate about giving back to the community and look forward to an opportunity to take care of your dental hygiene needs.
